- What is the advantage of temperature control?
Temperature controlled units provided by Elon Self Storage offer a higher level of security against weather-related damage. Extreme hot or cold temperatures as well as high humidity can cause damage to your personal items inside units without temperature control.
- Can I store an automobile at your facility?​
Although this is not the most common use for our storage units, we have units that can acoommodate small cars or even boats. However, we do require that the vehicle be free of leaks (oail, coolant, fuel, etc.) that could stain the unit or cause contamination.

- ​​Can I have access to my belongings at any time?​
Sure. Our facility has 24-hour access for your convenience. We also have video surveillance for an added layer of security. Your items will be totally secured and you can get to them at your leisure.
- Clean all your items such as refrigerators, freezers, and liquid equipment thoroughly prior to storing them to avoid mildew growth within your unit.
- For delicate items such as dishes, CDs, DVDs, morros, or items that are brittle and can easily break; package them with sufficient padding (bubble wrap, wadded paper, etc.) to avoid breakage.​
- To get the most out of your unit consider purchasing adequate and sturdy shelving. This will allow you to get some height out of your unit enabling you to store more items.
